Gentlemen:
Today, we received this list of grant applicants (see below). As you
can see, there are 23 agencies applying for funds. Because this review
meeting is now set for a Friday, I've discussed a couple of options to
streamline the meeting with Ford. He agrees that we will try two new
approaches this cycle. First, we are going to beta-test offering
participation by conference telephone. Second, we are setting 10-minute
appointments, rather than 15 as we've done in the past. For agencies
such as Shawsville RS with multiple items. We will reserve two 10-minute
blocks.
Finally, since it is likely that many agencies will opt for the
telephonic meeting, and the meeting room at Franklin County's Government
Center has no telephone, we will move the meeting to the WVEMS Roanoke
office.
The first appointment will be set for 1:30 PM... so I ask that those of
you who can attend please plan to arrive at the WVEMS office by 1:00. I
know that Carey and Steve are not available. If anyone else is
unavailable, please let me know as soon as possible.
We should be complete by 6:00, and will not provide dinner. Snacks and
drinks will be available!

We are closely approaching the time for your to review your designated
grants for the 06-10 cycle, we are a little behind schedule due to the
OEMS move, however you will get your grants by the end of the week.
I will send the regional EMS councils and the program reps a listing
shortly of the grants that were submitted for your region, you will get
the scanned applications on a CD by Friday, April 2nd.
All grades/comments will be due to OEMS by Monday, April 26th at 5:00pm.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
If you have already scheduled your grant reviews for EMS regional
councils please send me your date and time so I can work out my schedule
to try and attend as many as possible, thanks.
