Missed a couple of things that should have been part of our monthly
listserv information, education and events posting:
 
Planning District Commission to host meeting to plan for UASI Grant
program for non-profits

	Purpose  

	The FY2008 NSGP provides funding support for target-hardening
activities to nonprofit organizations that are deemed at high risk of a
potential terrorist attack.  While this funding is provided specifically
to high-risk nonprofit organizations, the program seeks to integrate
nonprofit preparedness activities with broader State and local
preparedness efforts.  It is also designed to promote coordination and
collaboration in emergency preparedness activities among public and
private community representatives, State and local government agencies,
and Citizen Corps Councils.


	Funding


	The UASI Nonprofit Security Grant Program will provide $15
million to high-risk nonprofit organizations.  Each nonprofit
organization may apply through the State for a grant award of up to
$75,000.

	The HRPDC will be hosting the FY08 UASI Nonprofit kick off
meeting here at the Regional Building on 

	 

	March 14

	All 501(3)(C) nonprofit agencies wishing to submit an investment
justification for the FY08 Nonprofit UASI MUST attend this meeting.

Health Care Night at the Norfolk Admirals, March 14

	The Norfolk Admirals is offering discount opportunities for
health care groups to attend the game versus the Portland Pirates,
Friday March 14 at the Norfolk Scope Arena. Face Off is 7:15 pm.
	 
	1. Put together a group of people. 2. Call the Admirals Group
Sales office at least 10 days in advance to reserve seats witha $1/pp
deposit.  3. Seven days before the game provide a final count.  For more
