TEMS Listserv: I've been asked to circulate this bill (SB 168) now
before the General Assembly which would provide tax incentives for
volunteer fire and EMS workers.

Aside from status, you can see information about the committee
assigments of specific bills and the membership of those committees --
which is the first level of "focus" when trying to help a bill succeed.
For example, for this particular bill, it has been referred to the
(powerful) Committee on Finance and a click on the committee referral
gives you the info below, and you can quickly see if one of the members
is your local Senator. If so, contact them. They want to hear from their
constituents (there are several Senators on this committee from our EMS
region).  You can also click on the Agenda link to see when a specific
bill will be heard by a committee. Beware, however, agendas change and
its best to be in touch with the bill's sponsor to verify when a bill
will be heard.
