Please see the attached brochure for the First Response: When an Infant
Dies at Home program, coming up on October 5  [also posted at

program and there are still many spaces available.  The registration
deadline is September 28. If you have personnel interested in attending,
please have them send in their registration form, or they can call or

EMS Captain Position Opening

The City of Virginia Beach Department of Emergency Medical Services
(EMS) seeks an experienced individual to serve as EMS Captain to manage
and direct the delivery of skilled emergency and non-emergency services
in a variety of areas including: advanced pre-hospital patient care
delivery, rescue operations, program management, personnel matters,
mentoring/field training, classroom training, and public education.
Individual will also perform advanced life support pre-hospital
activities such as direct patient care, supervision and direction of
ambulance crews, basic life support care, quality assurance, mentoring,
and public education on EMS.  Position will require at least a 40-hour
work week to accommodate day, night, weekend, and holiday assignments as
necessary and is considered ALPHA-1.  Starting Salary: $49,262.64. Visit
