EMS Provider,

All aboard! Today is a great day. The Division of Educational Development is pleased to announce the launch of TRAINVirginia, our new Learning Management System (LMS) which allows the Office of EMS to offer web-based Category 1 and Category 2 continuing education credits.

Before you hand the Conductor your ticket and jump on board the TRAIN, please make sure you read all the fine print on your boarding pass. So, in order to ensure that your continuing education credit is properly recorded on your CE report, you must understand the rules before you are allowed to board! The Office wants to ensure that you have a positive experience using our new web-based training interface.

The link to our web page which explains TRAINVirginia in more detail including how you can get on board is listed below.

I would like to thank the well over 500 EMT Instructors, ALS Coordinators, EMS Training Program Directors, Office of EMS staff who have assisted us in beta and release candidate testing of the system to ensure it is running smoothly for this launch. I would like to especially thank Terry Coy, Dave Hellman, Larry Connatser, Greg Wasylik and KMI, Inc. without whom this project would not have been possible.

Last call....all aboard TRAINVirginia!

Regards,

Chad Blosser
