[Temslist] Governor honors three from Tidewater region

During the Governor's EMS Awards banquet in Norfolk on Saturday evening,
November 10, three from the Tidewater EMS region were honored with
statewide EMS awards.  Linda Baker, RN from Sentara Virginia Beach
General Hospital received the 2007 Nurse with Outstanding Contribution
to EMS Award.  Doris Foster, RN, EMT-P of Virginia Beach EMS and
Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad received the 2007 Outstanding
Contribution to EMS for Children. The Norfolk Fire Explorer Post 116
received the 2007 Outstanding Contribution to EMS Award.  Our
congratulations to each award winner, and also to all the nominees from
Tidewater.

Marion Life Saving Crew
Nurse with Outstanding Contribution to EMS: Linda Baker, RN, Sentara
Virginia Beach General Hospital
Outstanding Contribution to EMS Telecommunications: Ta-Tanisha Farmer,
Danville Emergency Services
Outstanding Contribution to EMS for Children: Doris J. Foster, RN,

$5000 Scholarship for Outstanding Contribution to EMS by a High School

The 2008 Virginia Office EMS wall calendar features one state winner
each month. Our three Tidewater winners will appear in January
(Explorers Post), February (Linda Baker) and March (Doris Foster) along
with an explanation of their accomplishments.
