Remember that the next state RSAF grant deadline is Thursday March 15.
Below is some information from Amanda Davis, the new grants manager at
the state Office of EMS, on some grant application and reimbursement
changes.

Here are some changes that have taken place regarding the grants
process:

 

For the March 2007 cycle

-     OEMS has updated their webpage with revisions of the instructions
and application package. www.vdh.virginia.gov/oems  

-          All grants will be submitted under GENERAL funds and the OEMS
will categorize the grant applications into priorities requested

-          Grant affirmation page has changed significantly - Signatures
are required by:  Authorized Agent and Financial Officer, the OMD is
highly recommended for signature but not required for the 3/07 cycle but
will be required from now on but only for: NEW and ADVANCED
TECHNOLOGICAL MEDIAL EQUIPMENT.  This will be clearly defined by the OMD
Board by September 17, 2007 cycle.

-          Agencies must submit their FIN number, name of the agency,
address, etc... all information must be what is required on their income
tax statement.

 

Original invoices for reimbursements are no longer required, faxed and
mailed copies of invoices are accepted.
