Dear NIMS Upgrade Working Group Member, 

We wanted to update you on the current status of the NIMS Upgrade
document.  As you may recall, the NIMS Upgrade process was incorporated
into the National Response Plan Revision and Review during
September/October 2006.  Over the past month, a small group (including
several members of our original working group) has been tasked with
reviewing the Upgrade document.  

Many of the recent additions are a continuation of the hard work you did
last summer.  Further clarification has been added to portions of the
Preparedness component, the Multi-Agency Coordination System and the
Public Information System.   

The document is now available for the 1st nationwide review and comment
period (Feb 1-19).  We encourage you to comment using the attached
matrix. Comments should be sent to NIMScomments at hsi.dhs.gov. The
document can be accessed by clicking on the following link.
