Hi! I am the Coordinator for the eastern region Fetal Infant Mortality
Review Program. As a part of this program, there is a Perinatal
Bereavement Committee that addresses grief and grief support related to
fetal and infant deaths in our region. I would like to invite any EMS
personnel, particularly chaplains and first responders, to be a part of
this committee. As I am aware that EMS personnel frequently have the
initial contact with families once they experience an infant death in
the home, I feel this committee would assist them with some of the
issues they deal with, as well as help other committee members
understand the issues from the EMS perspective. 

 

I am contacting you to request that you extend this invitation to EMS
personnel and/or provide me with another contact that would be more
appropriate to accomplish this. Thanks for any assistance you can offer.
