Peninsulas EMS Council

Peninsulas EMS Council, Inc. is looking to fill the full time position
of Executive Director. The Executive Director will be responsible for
staffing of the Peninsulas EMS Council, preparing staff reports with the
assistance of other professional staff, staffing of technical
committees, a general execution of the policies established by the Board
of Directors of the Peninsulas EMS Council.  The Executive Director is
responsible for negotiation and administration of all contracts between
the Virginia Department of Health, Office of EMS, and other entities
which may provide services to or receive services from the Council.  

Job includes daily administrative responsibilities, budget preparations,
grant writing, and project coordination. Local and overnight travel
required. Applicants should have excellent organizational,
communication, networking, and financial management skills (knowledge of
QuickBooks a plus).

A Master's degree in public health, health care administration, public
administration, business administration, health care planning or other
appropriate fields, or bachelor's degree with extensive related
experience and/or training in operational emergency medical services
system required.  Computer skills required.  A thorough knowledge and
understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related
to emergency medical service systems required.

Peninsulas EMS Council, Inc is a 501(c) (3) organization responsible for
the development and maintenance of comprehensive emergency medical
services.
