[PEMS List] Regional EMS Council Service Areas (Update)

The state EMS Advisory Board received a report on Friday February 9th
from the Assistant Health Commissioner, Lisa Kaplowicz, that a Process
Action Team (PAT) will be established to evaluate the existing
designated regional service areas and recommend the most effective and
efficient arrangement of regional service areas. 

 

The PAT will make a recommendation and presentation to the State EMS
Advisory Board, at their next scheduled meeting on May 16, 2008. This
recommendation will include a proposal for Regional EMS Council service
areas. 

 

This PAT will be comprised of representatives of entities that comprise
the EMS system in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Scott Hudson has been
appointed to the PAT as a representative of a rural based EMS service.
Scott Hudson is a member of the PEMS Board of Directors and is the Chief
of Emergency Services for Lancaster County.
