[PEMS List] OEMS releases the Regional EMS Council Study

 The Virginia Office of EMS has released the Regional Emergency Medical
Services Council Study.  The contractor, AMSI, Inc., was engaged by
Virginia EMS to review the regional EMS structure in the Commonwealth
and to make recommendations for improving the effectiveness of that
structure. In order to accomplish this, ASMI conducted activities
including a statewide survey of EMS leaders and providers; face-to-face
interviews with system participants and stakeholders; attendance at
various meetings and visits to state and regional EMS program offices.

This report endeavors to describe the project activities and their
results which ultimately led to eight general recommendations, some of
which have detailed sub-recommendations. There are some 29
