Greetings,
I would first like to thank everyone who participated in the survey. In all, 32 ALS providers responded, giving me lots of great input, some of which will be implemented in our 2007-2008 program.
SUMMARY OF DATA
EMT-Paramedics were the largest responding group, making up 53% of the survey participants, followed by EMT-Enhanced (37.5%) and EMT-Intermediate (9.4%)
87.5% of respondents indicated that they had attended a local ALS CE program in the last 12 months.
Oak Hall Rescue (43.3%) was the site most attended by those surveyed.
The night session at Oak Hall Rescue (34.4%) was the session most attended by those surveyed.
Respondents indicated that they accrue the largest majority of their CE hours from the Eastern Shore ALS CE Program and the Virginia EMS Symposium.
Overall, the program was rated as follows by those surveyed:
Excellent (9.4%)
Good (46.9%)
Adequate (40.6%)
Needs Improvement (3.1%)
Unacceptable (0%)
Respondents indicated protocol review, hands-on skills, and hospital case studies as topics for inclusion into the current program.
Written comments as a whole revealed an overwhelming satisfaction with the current program with a few suggestions for future sessions.
Again, thanks for your time and consideration in helping to improve our local training programs.
