Hi, Everyone,

The Red Cross is planning the largest blood drive ever held on the Eastern Shore on December 2, from 10-4 at the Onancock Armory! A normal drive has a goal of between 25-40 units. This drive has a goal of 80! (We're secretly hoping for 100.) The goal is set higher because blood donations are usually down during the holiday season. We are all busy getting ready for company, shopping, and parties. But the need still exists.

This is going to be a real community event. The Food Bank will have a collection bin on hand, gift wrapping will be offered for a small donation, a kids' corner will be set up - and radio station 99.3 has generously offered to let donors record a holiday greeting to be played on the air!

99.3 is providing advertising, but additional help is needed in getting the word out. We need volunteers for the kids' corner, for refreshments, staffing the refreshment table, registration, and, of course, donors!

You can sign up for a donation appointment online at www.givelife.org<about:blank> and the code is BlueXmas, because "We'll Have a Blue Christmas Without YOU!" Donors who sign up online will be eligible for gift certificate raffles from area merchants.

For additional information please call Stephanie Pierce, Red Cross Volunteer Blood Drive Coordinator, at 442-7401.
Please pass on this email to anyone who may be interested in helping out! Thank you!
