  Course:  EMT-Enhanced Basic Program (Virginia Office of EMS)
   
  Location:  Parksley Volunteer Fire Company (Station #7)
   
  Class Meets:  Sunday/Wednesday (Draft schedule attached)
   
  Informational Meeting:  Sunday, December 3rd, 2007, 1800 hours-Station 7
   
  Start Date:  Sunday, January 7th, 2007
   
  Test Date:  TBA-June 2007

  Clinical/Field Coordinator:  Patricia Drewer (789-3610, pattydrewer at yahoo.com)
   
  Pre-requisites: (1) Currently certified as EMT-Basic (1 year field experience preferred)
                         (2) Agency affiliation with approval of Captain/Chief
                         (3) High school diploma or GED
                         (4) Valid CPR card (Healthcare Provider or equivalent)
                         (5) Criminal Background Check
                         (6) All required immunizations/vaccinations
                         (7) Proficient in reading, writing, speaking the English language
                         (8) Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
                         (9) Approved ALS training application submitted to ESEMSC
                         
   
  TCC:  This course has been deemed a "recognized equivalent" to the TCC EMT-Enhanced Program and thus will allow students to continue into the Intermediate program without repeating EMT-Enahanced coursework.  
   
  To Pre-Register:  Call Kevin Holloway at 665-6977 or e-mail kevinholloway at verizon.net.  Please include name, agency, and contact information including e-mail addresses.  The class is limited to 30 students.  Students will be registered in the order in which their completed application and deposit was received.  
   
  Students are encouraged to bring completed paperwork and deposit to the informational meeting on December 3rd.  All checks are payable to the Eastern Shore EMS Council.  For those wishing to submit checks and registration forms prior to the December 3rd meeting, please contact me to make arrangements.
